Hello to all the families out there. We hope everyone has been safe and sound during these uncertain times. I don’t think any of us could have guessed what 2020 but it’s important to stay optimistic for the sake of our children. Children are very impressionable so if you are creating a negative space, they will in also turn unhappy. It is also important to follow the safety protocols set to ensure the safety of not only ourselves and those we hold dear, but to everyone else whoever they may be.

Although it is known that children suffer less symptoms than adults, but every child is different, and it is not okay to treat them any less than adults.

According to the CDC, these are some of the precautions you should take to provide a safe space for your children amidst this pandemic:

1.    Wash hands: Make sure you children wash their hands with soap and water every 20 seconds. Remember as parents, your behaviors are very influential for growing children, so if they see you make a regular habit of washing your hands, they will do the same.

2.    Wear a mask: Make sure everyone (children aged 2 and higher) always wears a mask especially when going out in public. I know it can always be a hassle for children to keep their mask on but it’s an effort we have to make to protect ourselves

3.    Avoid close contact: Maintain social distancing people! Always stay 6 feet apart when you are outside.

4.    Cover coughs and sneezes: If you must sneeze or cough, always cover your mouth with your arm or a tissue. Make sure to wash your hands after

5.    BRING YOUR CHILD FOR THEIR HEALTHCARE VISITS

That’s it for this week. We hope to keep doing our best to help families and pray for all the families out there.

In the words of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama “No matter how difficult the situation may be, we should employ science and human ingenuity with determination and courage to overcome the problems that confront us.”
